What does “Internationally Mobile Employee” mean to you?

IME conference Defining the “PKF way” for GM

read timeRead time: 3 mins

PKF Littlejohn in London has a team that specialises in global mobility and the various aspects that are involved when a company moves its employees around the world – it is a growing team and we would like to meet our colleagues around the World who work in this area of tax and social security with a view to creating a quality global mobility network that will help us to better service our clients and grow PKF’s international business.

Unfortunately we cannot meet in person and so we will host the event using Zoom. In order to try and accommodate the different time zones we will have four sessions:

Day 1 Tuesday 7th September 2021

Session 1 – Service Overview

 In this session:

  • We will explore what global mobility looks like in the World today and how things are changing.
  • We will discuss the opportunities that are available in the internationally mobile employee market place and what makes PKF different from other firms.
  • We will share some client feedback.
  • We will look at what PKF currently offers, what the gaps are and how we could start to address them.

Session 2 – Business Development

15:30 to 17:30 (BST)

In this session:

  • We will be hearing from various teams about their experiences in building business in their region/country.
  • The value of cross selling.
  • Who are your clients?  Do you specialise in one sector? How much international business does your firm get involved in?
  • How do we go to market?  Could we have a more cohesive approach?
  • What sort of collateral do we need to support our business development?
  • Opening up the major countries – e.g. US, China – what is the best approach?

Day 2 Wednesday 8th September 2021

Session 3 – Technology
8:30 to 10:30 (BST)

In this session we will be turning our attention to IT.
  • It is vital to have the right technology, to enable and to support.  We will be seeing a couple of demonstrations of the type of software that is crucial if we are to move forward as a joined up team.
  • These are only examples but Suralink has worked well in the UK and we are currently looking at further software improvements which we consider are the bare minimum if we are to have a fair chance against other firms offering similar services.  However, using this type of program as a stand-alone firm will not enable us to get the best out of these applications.
    • Suralink
    • Electronic Organiser
    • Travel Calendar and App

Session 4 – Team
15:30 to 17:30 (BST)

In this session we will hear from various teams in different countries.
  • We will learn who they are and what they do.
  • We will sum up the previous sessions and confirm action points that will help us grow and promote our service offering.
  • We will discuss the value of having another similar set of sessions to include action point updates.

We would be delighted if you could join us on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th September 2021. Please register for each session by clicking on the links which will take you to our registration form.
