Supporting our local communities
We want to be a good neighbour and believe it is important to give something back to the communities in which we’re based.
We aim to help our local communities and, in particular, are keen to support charities that work within areas in which we operate: East London, Leeds and Manchester, and South Africa.
We provide financial support to our charities, including through match-giving, and help our staff with easy access to making charitable donations via our payroll system.
In addition, everyone is entitled to additional leave each year for community volunteering activities, whether as individuals or as teams.
We are also proud that our Not for Profit team works for charities of all sizes with registered and exempt status; not for profit mutual trading organisations; trading companies associated with charitable bodies; membership organisations; donor agencies and regulators in the UK and Europe; and school and educational trusts.
“We organise a number of fundraising events throughout the year to help us raise money for our charities.
“I was proud to be part of a team of over 30 people who competed in the Hackney Half Marathon. PKF supported us by contributing the entry fee, arranging running vests and helping us to organise a group training programme.
“We raised thousands of pounds for our charities and had a lot of fun in the process.”

“Some members of the Leeds team spent an enjoyable day helping out at St Gemma’s Hospice. We were based in the distribution centre, sorting through all of the donations and getting them ready to sell in the charity’s shops.
“We want to make sure that we give something back to our local communities – giving our staff additional leave to volunteer for local good causes is one of the ways that we make that happen.”

“Our Christmas Jumper Day and edible decoration-making are always popular with our teams.
“Not only is the event another opportunity for us all to get together, but it also enables us to raise hundreds of pounds for local good causes.
“I’m already starting to think about what to prepare for next year’s event!”
