David Thompson is a Partner in our Corporate and Capital Markets team.
He acts for large listed and private groups and has a strong working knowledge of reporting under UK GAAP (FRS 102), US GAAP and International Finance Reporting Standards.
David has an in-depth knowledge of the capital markets and acts for companies listed on LSE, AIM and AQSE in the UK, as well as companies listed on NASDAQ, ASX, and TSX, covering a broad range of commercial and regulated business sectors, supporting clients through their IPO process and ongoing financial reporting.
The majority of David’s audit clients are large international and national groups requiring the audit of consolidated financial statements, auditing overseas entities either directly or via the control and co-ordination of component auditors.
He works closely with his clients to ensure they receive a partner-led audit whilst providing challenge on the key risk areas to enhance their financial reporting quality.
David is also a member of the firm’s Professional Standards Committee.
