James is a Partner in our Financial Services team. He also heads up our Manchester office.

James has 15 years of audit and accountancy experience, specialising in the financial services sector. His experience includes acting for mutual insurers, insurance brokers and MGAs, as well as other financial services businesses such as asset and wealth managers and consumer lenders – from FTSE 100 and AIM-listed companies through to large regional operators.

Originally from Greater Manchester, James has worked in the UK and Cayman Islands, and at a number of audit firms, including one of the Big Four, as well as in industry.

James is known for his understanding of complex technical matters, with particular expertise in IFRS 9 and 17.
