PKF has appointed Mark Ellis as a VAT Partner in its London office.

Mark has over 30 years of experience as a tax adviser and joins the firm from BDO.  He has worked with clients across a wide range of sectors, both in the UK and internationally, offering strategic and operational VAT support.

Chris Riley, head of Tax at PKF in London, said: “Mark has an extensive track record of providing practical and commercial solutions to challenging VAT problems, and of helping clients understand the business and financial implications of often complex VAT issues, in keeping with our firm’s ethos of simplifying unnecessary complexity for our clients.

“What comes across very clearly is that Mark has an ability to offer clear and pragmatic advice that makes a difference to clients, whether they are already well-versed with the technicalities of indirect taxes or still find most of the subject a mystery. I have no doubt that Mark’s arrival will further boost the service that our fast-growing Tax team offers.”

Mark Ellis added: “This is an exciting time to be joining PKF.  We are winning new clients, investing in our people and processes, and further bolstering our reputation as a challenger brand in the market.  I have been impressed with the calibre of the team and the firm’s ambitious plans for a future, and look forward to being a part of its continued growth over the coming years.”
