Howard is a corporate and international tax Partner with almost 30 years’ experience of working in and advising the insurance sector.
He advises both listed and private groups on tax risk management, strategy and structure. His current projects include restructuring operations for Brexit, transfer pricing, Senior Accounting Officer and Corporate Criminal Offence tax evasion reviews as well as the impact of the International Tax Enforcement: disclosable arrangements regulations (commonly known as DAC6).
With extensive experience of advising ambitious insurers and intermediaries, Howard’s advice is always commercial and often innovative. Whether advising businesses on establishing UK or overseas insurance operations, or forming Lloyd’s syndicates and managing agencies, or captive insurers, he looks to build strong and lasting relationships.
Formerly with two of the Big Four, Howard is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor. As Aon’s Director of Tax during its period of significant expansion, he advised on M&A transactions, restructuring and integration.
